What sets JKP Studio apart?

We’re a small, independent studio, which means our name is on every Picture Day we photograph. We take the time to work with each child rather than simply rushing through classrooms, and the two of us work as a team to keep things moving while still giving kids the patience and attention they need.

Our sets are colorful and modern, our portraits are individually reviewed and retouched, and most importantly, we genuinely enjoy what we do. Kids tend to notice that.

How does Picture Day work?

Before Picture Day, your school provides us with a classroom roster including each child’s name, classroom, and all available parent or guardian email addresses. This allows us to create a private gallery for each child and automatically keep families updated when their portraits are ready.

On Picture Day, we arrive early to set up our complete studio at your school. The two of us work together to photograph each child, capturing a variety of images — from full portraits to closer crops and everything in between.

Afterward, each portrait is individually reviewed and retouched. Families are notified by email when their private gallery is ready, where they can view their portraits and order directly.

What are the benefits for your school?

There is no cost to your school, and your school receives a 10% commission on net portrait sales as our way of saying thank you for having us. We also offer special portrait discounts for staff members with children attending the school.

How quickly are portraits ready?

Usually within 3 days. We know families are excited to see their pictures, so quick turnaround has always been an important part of how we work.

Are families required to purchase?

Not at all. There is never an obligation to purchase. Families simply receive access to their child’s private online gallery and can purchase whatever they love.

Do you photograph siblings?

Absolutely. Sibling portraits are part of Picture Day. When siblings attend the same school, we photograph them together in addition to their individual portraits.
